Online retail doesn’t incur the environmental damage associated with the building of a physical shop, the customers driving to it, or the manufacture of EFTPOS machines, cash registers and other sales devices. An online payment gateway also limits the spread of diseases carried by physical currency.

Philanthropy

In 2012 and 2013, eWAY CEO Matt Bullock raised more than $24,000 by preparing food for 1,000 underprivileged Australians as part of the CEO CookOff. This money was donated to OzHarvest so as they could continue providing food and shelter to those who need it most.

eWAY has also donated more than $15,000 to Ronald McDonald House Charities, which provide vital support for the families of sick children.

Conservation

eWAY stores all information about transactions, customers, partners and employees electronically. This eliminates almost all paper waste from our offices, and what little is created is then recycled.
