Microsoft's search engine Bing has joined forces with ResellerRatings.com to provide online shoppers with access to more than 430,000 customer-generated product reviews, reports Internet Retailer magazine.

The partnership with ResellerRatings.com, a website which provides syndicated reviews of products, will allow Bing to add consumer reviews to its online shopping platform. Previously, the search engine only returned product reviews from publications.

Now shoppers can head to Bing's shopping page, scroll over an item and click on its average rating to see an expanded list of customer opinions.

More than 23,000 merchants are listed on the site, and more than 570 of them will work with Bing to monitor and respond to customer reviews and concerns. Customers can rank items and read reviews regarding pricing, shipping, customer service and returns.

The partnership comes after a Nielsen study revealed that online customer reviews are the third-most trusted source of information for online shoppers. In fact, the study found that positive online customer reviews ranked just below direct recommendations from friends and family in the factors that influence an online shopper's decision to purchase an item.ADNFCR-3398-ID-19884895-ADNFCR
