The Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis Alliance, a nonprofit group which provides aid to those affected by the skin conditions in the UK, has launched an ecommerce website.
Visitors to the website can order information on the conditions, order or renew their subscriptions to the PAPAA magazine and purchase any of a series of publications related to treating and coping with psoriasis.
The online service "has been provided following extensive feedback from members and existing website users," said a PAPAA spokesperson.
With the increase in adults shopping online the UK - a number Forrester Research projects will reach 32 million by 2011 - many companies and organizations are feeling intense demand for an online outlet. Shopping online is convenient, fast and safe, and ecommerce like that implemented by PAPAA helps suffers of a condition form a community online.
"This service is an extension of our main site and we hope that users will find it of value and user-friendly," the spokesperson continued.
