Charlotte Olympia, the label of well-known footwear designer Charlotte Dellal, has launched its ecommerce site, according to Harper's Bazaar.

CharlotteOlympia.com provides an additional outlet for potential consumers to buy Dellal's highly sought-after pumps. According to Elle, the label has gained notoriety due to Dellal's high social standing and her runway collaborations with respected designers. This has resulted in the shoes selling out in minutes on luxury women's sites such as Net-a-Porter and high-end boutiques like Bergdorf Goodman.

Dellal's site will also feature earrings, jewel-toned stockings and clutches, Elle reports.

According to ResourcesDelivered, there is a growing trend of luxury fashion brands reaching out to the public through ecommerce. The sites aim to re-create the exclusive store atmosphere online, with videos of catwalk shows, pictures of models and catalogues of products.

"If done well, the web can convey a luxury atmosphere even better than traditional media," Michele Norsa, chief executive of Salvatore Ferragamo, told the news source.
