For many companies, ecommerce payment solutions and online payment gateways are now a central part of business.
According to a recent Inquirer report, skills marketplace website People Per Hour recently saw its best quarter on record, as demand for independent consultants with digital skills has increased rapidly.
Companies are eager to hire a range of digital professionals, including web designers, search engine optimisation consultants and ecommerce experts. According to the report, the market for ecommerce professionals alone grew by approximately 216 percent during the quarter.
Similarly, web design and web construction saw growth of approximately 178 percent.
Xenios Thrasyvoulou, founder and CEO of People Per Hour, told the Inquirer "the IT sector is one of the key engines of growth for the economy and is integral to the U.K.'s prosperity." According to Thrasyvoulou, the company's figures "show that, not only are digital industry contractors winning more work than before, but companies are also willing to pay more for their services, which is a real sign that profits and confidence are back."
Online payment gateways are now widely deployed by businesses of all sizes. According to a recent Female First magazine report, even personalised sectors, such as the jewellery industry, can benefit from an online payment gateway.
