In every field, wisdom is attained with experience, though some beginners choose to ignore the knowledge accumulated by those who came before them.
According to a recent shopsafe.co.uk report, however, one new ecommerce business has decided to look to a senior competitor for examples of effective online business strategy.
Mixwall, an electronics retailer, hopes that, by following the example set by ecommerce veteran Amazon, it will succeed in developing an online presence and fostering a relationship of trust with potential customers.
Rachael Hayes, public relations manager for Mixwall, said that, by following Amazon's example, the company eventually plans to overtake it.
"Mixwall’s vision is to be the securest online shopping site succeeding Amazon," Hayes said. "We fully understand customers’ trust is the key to the success."
Hayes added that Mixwall wanted to ensure that customers' shopping experiences with the company were always positive. "Ordering things online and then getting them missing a piece or having something broken is annoying," she said. "Mixwall has done whatever it can to make sure people are satisfied with whatever they get from Mixwall."
One key feature of every respectable ecommerce website is an online payment gateway. According to experts, the ability to process online payments securely is the most vital ingredient of a successful online business.
