As global ecommerce continues to thrive and evolve, Visa Europe is searching for 19 new apprentices that will start at the end of the summer to help the company, the company recently announced.

According to Peter Ayliffe, chief executive of Visa Europe, the company is searching for young talent to join its team of employees.

"Payments are changing with the growth of ecommerce and developments such as contactless and mobile payments," said Ayliffe. "These apprentices will be joining us at a very exciting time."

Of the 19 available positions, one role has been created in the finance department and six in the business and administration section of the company. The other 12 positions will be dedicated to the processing operations.

While Visa Europe searches for talented apprentices to help their operations, criminals in the U.K. are expected to pose as a serious threat to ecommerce as shoppers spend more money through online payment gateways. According to a recent study conducted by PayPoint.net for the Centre for Economic and Business Research, criminals will cost the U.K. economy approximately £30 million by 2015.
