To address the shortage of tablet computers in the United Kingdom, the online store company Mixwall recently announced it has launched a new series of tablets.
According to Rachael Hayes, public relations manager for Mixwall, the company has prepared 600 tablets and 300 smartphones for students preparing to go back to school.
"The tablet computer has gone a long way since the release of the iPad just over a year ago, and its follower iPad 2 made tablets much crazier among people," said Hayes. "A majority of shoppers would rather buy tablets as a less expensive alternative than purchase a notebook or upgrade to a smart phone."
Hayes also said that the new series of tablets available for students are all priced under £60 in the hopes to attract consumers who cannot afford the iPad 2.
