The Professional Jeweller and Holition Christmas marketing project will offer 10 retailers and designers in the U.K. jewellery industry the chance to use Holition's 3D-augmented reality software for their holiday marketing campaigns at a discounted price of £5,000. The participating retailers will be able to use software and techniques already being utilised by large jewellery companies including De Beers, Boucheron and Tissot. The software aims to engage customers while increasing website traffic and sales.

Professional Jeweller reported the software package includes a virtual try-on application, a marketing conference call hosted by Holition to ensure the company is using the software to launch a successful campaign, and a how-to video created by Holition to help retailers' clients use the technology.

Also launching a new site to attract consumers just in time for holiday shopping, Work of Tanks will hit U.K. retailers in November, the Market for Computer and Video Games reported. Wargaming.net's online multiplayer game used to be a download-only program that uses a free-to-play payment model, in which players spent real money to speed up the progression and customisation of their tanks. Now the game is distributed through local retailers is the U.K., Germany, Austria, Switzerland and many other European countries under the Deep Silver publishing label, the news source reported.
