Brand Quarter is a recently launched online retailer offering discount shopping to U.K. consumers. The company is offering well-known fashion and sportswear brands at prices up to 40 percent off the retail value.

The site launched in November, but will be officially unveiled in February 2012. The goal of the website is to attract savvy U.K. online consumers who are looking for quality products at competitive prices. The retailer will offer shoppers discounts on menswear, womenswear and childrenswear, as well as footwear and sportswear. Shoppers will be able to browse brands including Adidas, Nike, Firetrap and Goi Goi on the site, and find significant discounts compared to other retailers.

Another online retailer making its debut in the U.K. is Degree Art. Founded by Isobel Beauchamp and Elinor OIisa, the U.S. retailer offers consumers artwork by students and recent graduates of art schools. The online company has experienced significant growth in the past year, and has expanded its customer reach through Facebook and Twitter accounts, City AM reported.

The company also has introduced gift vouchers to encourage more shoppers to check out its offerings for Christmas presents, capitalising on the growing interest in art as a valuable commodity. The founders told the source they have seen a significant increase in shoppers inside the Square Mile, and hope their marketing efforts will help boost holiday sales.
