Collect Plus recently reported an increase in the volume of packages being processed through the company annually, saying the amount has grown two-fold to approximately 4 million items. The significant growth in packages is a result of higher demand from businesses and online shoppers looking for an alternative to the Post Office.

The courier service has reportedly grown to one-third the size of the Post Office in terms of packages processed, and over the past six months, has expanded 20 percent. Collect Plus has partnered with outlets that are open during the week and beyond normal business hours to enable more customers to access the courier service.

Collect Plus has partnered with retailers such as ASOS, Clarks and Currys, which has greatly influenced its growing success. The total number of retailers Collect Plus is now partnered with is more than 100, and eBay U.K. is enabling its users to print package labels that can be used at Collect Plus.

Further, eBay is also working with Parcel2Go in its campaign to persuade the U.K. government to increase mobile internet speeds and support Britain's online marketplace. Parcel2Go, the U.K.'s largest parcel delivery service, agrees with eBay U.K. that advancements should be made to keep British shoppers and retailers up to speed with the latest mobile innovations. Parcel2Go believes it is important for U.K. consumers and businesses to have access to an effective 4G mobile network all over the country.
