GetResponse recently launched a new marketing solution website specifically designed to serve the U.K. retail and small business market. The goal of the site is to reach out to the more than 10,000 U.K. users the company has, as well as increase its market share.

GetResponse recognised the U.K. is leading Europe in the ecommerce revolution, as more online retailers are catering to digital shoppers with marketing campaigns for online stores and mcommerce solutions. The U.K. ecommerce market is currently growing at an annual compound rate of 16 percent, and represents 37 million online shoppers, according to IMRG research cited by GetResponse. Of these online consumers, 48 percent are greatly influenced by deals received by email, which is the marketing solution GetResponse specialises in.

Governments are also working with retailers to enhance ecommerce offerings. Google U.K. announced a new partnership with the Welsh government to help retailers in Wales improve their web presence. Google is offering a series of workshops to help retailers develop online stores, featuring expert consultations and lessons on how to boost website traffic and increase online sales. The local events will be held throughout Wales, and provide business owners with practical tools and support to improve ecommerce and mcommerce offerings.
